WESB News: 11/12/07 - NY State Begins Seat Belt Checkpoints
A zero-tolerance "Buckle Up New York" campaign kicks off today with State Police checkpoints across New York state.
State Police will be out in force through Nov. 25, looking for unbuckled motorists and ticketing them as part of a statewide crackdown on seat belt law violators.
During the last seat belt enforcement sweep during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, more than 35,000 tickets were issued statewide.
