Port Allegany Bridge Work In Full Swing

Construction work is progressing on the replacement of the two route 6 bridges just west of North Main Street in Port Allegany.

The work has resulted in PennDot establishing a long detour to Larabee Y and Smethport to bypass the construction work.

Watch Solomon's words tomorrow for pictures of what's happening to the local Brooklynside Road maintained by Liberty Township as a result of this extended detour and local residents taking this shortcut. Click on pictures to view full screen.
