Sympathy goes out to Mrs. Bowman and the family. You will be missed Doc!!
The loss of Dr. Bowman is so devestating to the whole community. He was such a caring man, and showed what being a true doctor is all about. As a nurse, and as a wife of a patient of his, I saw first hand several times the extra time he took for his paitents, and how he went above and beyond. I'm very saddened by this passing, but know he has touched many lives, and all of us are better off for knowing him.
God Bless Mrs. Bowman, and everyone who knew him.
Tina M. Smith, Port Allegany
For the past 23 years, Dr. Bowman has not only been our family physician, but a truste, and honored member of our family. We would like to thank Dr. Bowman's Wife Barbara, his 2 daughters and his son for sharing this man of medicine and honor with us. Our sorrow for the loss of this gentle man of medicine can in no way be expressed in mere words. Thank You For Being Here For Us Dr. Bowman. Roy, and Susan Barclay, and Family.
At Doc's visitation on Friday evening, Terri Ann remembered him fondly as a man of many hats, both literally and figuratively. How true! Devoted husband, father, father-in-law, friend, physician, handyman, lover of nature, healer of bodies and hearts. We have been honored and blessed to have been amoung the chosen to "Walk with Doc" on his mountain, through his cathedral in the woods, and some of the wonderful milestones in his all too short life. God bless you for enriching all our lives.
Thank you all for your kind words. Dad would have been very pleased with all the love the community has showed to our whole family. Dad was a very hard working man. He was strong willed. A great teacher, and an amazing father. He loved working outdoors at home, and went out doing something he really enjoyed. It's a shame it happened so soon. He will be missed.

I grew up with Doug, but lost contact after high school. My mother worked with his mother in WWII. I am not surprised that he became the man he did. I am only saddened to discover he has left us.
