What, You will think that way when the bear population gets out of control. Wait till you have a problem bear...I hope he is doing well...

I cannot believe that any human beaing could be so low and crude to ever cheer about another human being's tragedy. Are you sick? This person has loved ones. How would you feel if someone you love, family or friend was to be attacked or injured in which could have resulted in thier loss of life, and we all publicly laughed? You are a true life loser.

He was hunting the bear...that's a risk you have to take. I think he deserved to be mauled if he was close enough to see the cub and not the mother. Actually, at this time of year the cubs are usually pretty good sized.

Sorry he got hurt, but he put himself in that position.

Risky behavior sometimes has its price.

The reality is that he chose to put himself on the bears playing field and came out on the losing end of the game.

It happens all the time in life, we all make our choices and have to live or die with them.

Well if some of these comments are true I am putting myself at risk by stepping out my door. What crap people, I live in the country with a problem bear. For some time I didn't feel safe with my kids outside. The bear killed our pets, 5 to be exact. He went over a 6 foot fence several times. But apparently I am putting my kids and myself in harms way by going outside my home in the country. What if some kid is waiting for the bus and got attacked by this bear in the country is that okay. I think not, same deal as in the woods... The bear population needs to be kept undercontrol....

Simple solution. Load gun...aim gun...shoot bear...problem solved.

Dont Blame the bear for following it's instincts. If someone got near my kid with a gun I'ld maul them. I feel bad for this man but like someone else said he took that risk when he went out hunting. And as for the lady with the problem bear, have you contacted someone to remove it? If that hasn't worked and you fear for your families safety you have every right to shoot it.
