WESB NEWS--Three Eldred Residents Charged with Welfare Fraud
Three Eldred residents were arrested Thursday and charged with welfare fraud.
The Office of the Inspector General has charged 42 year-old Bobbie Brawley, 50 year-old Michael Rixford and 66 year-old Marguerite Kelly with welfare fraud after discovering that the three had shared the same household since 2000.
Court records indicate that Brawley, Rixford and Kelly all admitted to investigators to providing false information to the state Welfare Department enabling Brawley to receive over $44,000 in Federal food stamps.
All three are free on $10,000 bail.

now all the gov. needs to do is look at more cases and weed out those that are just abusing the system. and try to get the welfare system under better control.
What will happen to the money they WERE getting?? It would be nice to see it go to a hard WORKING family that is struggling during these tough economic times.
I'm sure they are still on Welfare and will be forever! How else will they live,,,,

Its about time maybe they should start sweeping through westfield.All I can say is it must be nice to get welfare then collect another $1000.00 dollars a week junking it. (Tax free money). Hell I have to work everyday for my money. Or they should go through and check out the people that collect full disability...with bad backs etc. And then you drive by their house and they are cutting firewood, building porches, and whatever else needs done for CASH!! The only thing I can say to everybody that works for a living...dont get me wrong some people need it. Most dont but *****WORK HARDER MILLIONS ON WELFARE DEPEND ON YOU******

How about publishing pictures of the people, just like they publish the pictures of prostitutes and their johns in bigger cities
We can all help get these people off welfare and disability by turning them in. This can now be done anonymously online or by mail. If we don't, nothing will change. Just Google disability fraud and go for it!!!

If they only paid 5.00 per person I turn in, I would be rich.....
Start looking in Coudersport, getting thousands in tax refunds and there (kids mother is on welfare using a different address eating good and smoking weed)!!!
Maybe if the welfare program was set up right to begin with there would not be so much fraud!
Anyone that is in the "system" should not receive benefits for more than one (1) child. The goal should be to help themselves not keep having more kids for the tax payers to pay to raise them! That is why the rest of us only have 1 or 2 children because that is all we can afford to raise!
