Just returned from the area. The fire departments have the road into Eldred stopped at the Elderd Bridge. All traffic must go to Portville or to West Eldred Rd.

Anyone have any pictures posted?

The smoke was so thick you couldn't see right in front of your face. We were only as close as the Eldred Church of God and we came out of there smelling like we had been in the fire. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere near there today.

Dale all of Eldred is saddened by this. All Fire Depts and Firemen involved did a fabulous Job in containing the fire. If not for Bradford City Ladder Truck, I don't believer they could have Saved Salon 161 owned by Sarah Rounsville, Eldred. GREAT JOB TO ALL FIREMEN AND DEPARTMENTS

Great work done by all the firefighters. This area is blessed with a wonderful mutual aid system that works. Whenever help is asked for, wherever its needed, it is on the way. I also believe the ladder truck from Coudersport did a good job as well help keeping the fire from the other buildings. Good job to all.
