Thank You Everyone!
The To Fill A Backpack Board would like to send a very special Thank you to EVERYONE! This year was a smashing success. We raised over $4600 and distributed 367 backpacks in 9 school districts.
A Special Than You to the Roulette Red Hatters, Coudersport Elementary School (who raised over $600), Coudersport Florist, Fox’s Pizza Den (donated pizza party), Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Relay for Life team (donated the jail), Culver’s Bus Garage and the bakers that baked all the donated goodies for our bake sales.
We would like to thank everyone that helped in any capacity this year; those that donated financially (we know economic times are tough), those that donated supplies, and all the volunteers that put in so many hours. Our volunteers do so much, they help sitting at fundraisers, distributing flyers and information, collecting items and names of children in need of backpacks, sorting supplies and preparing the backpacks and then they help distribute them back into the community.
If you wanted to help and didn't get the chance, it is not too late: The Roulette Red Hatters will be having a spaghetti dinner on September 13th, 2009 from Noon—4pm at the Hotel Crittenden in Coudersport PA. You can still donate financially or supplies: To Fill A Backpack, 81 Burleson Ave, Roulette, PA 16746 or call Andy at 814.544.8032. You can find more information by calling Andy after 6pm or visiting www.tofillabackpack.org.
Once again, Thank You EVERYONE! We couldn't have done this without your help and support.

Annie and I are selling bottled water during our yard sale and all proceeds will go to the Backpack project. Maybe some other yardsale participants could donate a portion to this worthy endeavor.

Thank YOU, Andy and all the other volunteers and donators! Without you, those children probably would not have had brand new backpacks and the school supplies that they needed. It's a wonderful thing that you do! Keep it up!
