DuBois-based state police are warning residents that a fugitive remains at large.
Officers stopped a white man at the westbound Interstate 80 rest area near Reynoldsville at 9:48 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 80.
The man fled on foot. He is described as 36 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with short blonde hair. He was wearing a tan Carhart type jacket.
He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
As of Friday afternoon, the man has not been located and there have been no signs of him still being in the area.
Residents are warned to be cautious, watch their property and outer buildings and not to pick up any hitchhikers or stop for any reason.
The westbound rest area was closed Thursday and remains closed. Police said they may close the eastbound rest area.
Residents are to call the state police at 371-4652 to report any suspicious activity in their immediate area.

Police have not released his name.
Everyone please be on the lookout he could very well be in are area. Please lock your doors and report anything suspicious. What way would you go if you were around Dubois and a wanted fugitive go South to Harrisburgh West Virginia and hit I-90 where you would see a million police.Or head north to the mountains where the police are far and in between. Please be on the lookout this scum needs locked up!
