Senseless Destruction

The mailbox belongs to 81 year old Lydia "Boots" Haskins of 28 Hester Avenue, Roulette, PA.
Anyone with any information regarding this senseless destruction of another's property is asked to contact PSP Coudersport at 814-274-8690. Trooper Michael Flook is the investigating officer.

When I came home today the mailbox was reattached. Not sure who did it for her, but thankful someone did!! I don't understand what the point in smashing mailboxes is.. Especially to someone like this.
She is such a nice sweet woman.. I just think it is senseless!!
Acts like these are pathetic... especially the elderly. I hope they catch this JERK or JERKS!
That's my grandma and it really upsets me. I love you Nanny!!
to 11:55 Boots is not elderly, so you better be glad you were anonymous or her and her band of Country Music buddies would have to teach you a lesson. :) Those vandals would have gotten it worse though if she would have caught them. She probably would have hit them over the head with an old fashioned bass guitar.
Love ya Boots!
Do they not understand that doing this garbage is a FEDERAL OFFENSE??? And seriously.. what fun is it to bash a mail box anyway??
I hope they catch this JERK too!! So glad her mailbox is fixed thanks to the person who did it.
Hey everyone let's start over !!

If I know "Boots " if she was able she would be puttin a boot on someones "BUTT" Glad it got fixed for her.Hugs Robin Petteys Formoso
If these JERK(S) get away with this, what's next? Will we see a rash of "Jerks smash car windows over night in a local community"?
To some this seems like "childs play" and "kids just having fun". However, this could lead the individuals into a life of crime.
How many people are gonna hire someone with a criminal past? (Not many) In the long run we will all suffer, because we the taxpayers will end up supporting them.
IF these people do not get caught they will pay in the long run. When they get old enough to rent or own their own place people like them will destroy their shit too. It will all come around. Then they will regret what they did as a youth.
Anyone give any thought to the fact that it might've been an accident? You know some underage drunk driver who just didn't stick around to apologize?
First of all it may have just been some person who had a few to many or just a careless driver.Second of all you are treating this like someone was murdered -- my god its a small town with little for the kids to do and oh ya as a 45 year vetran of roulette this has happened for all of the 45 years -- wow it happened for the 46th Who would have gussed. Something like the crime log from Port says that someone threw a dead squirrel in the back seat of someones car --wow that has never happened before--lets talk about something new like soaping windows or TPing someones house. BAD CRIME SPREE in ROULETTE.
Easy on Austin big boy ... We will prevail
