Rear Ended
Neither driver was injured in a two vehicle crash Wednesday at 5:00 pm on Route 49 near the American Legion in Ulysses Boro.
Vickie A. Lampman, 45, of Ulysses, PA was driving a 2006 Nissan Xtera west on Route 49 near the American Legion when she slowed due to traffic.
Daniel P. Nauman, 87, of Ulysses, PA., was driving a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville, behind Lampman in the same direction, and tried to pass Lampman.
Nauman's Bonneville struck the left rear bumper of Lampman's Nissan, causing both vehicles to swerve to the north berm of Route 49. The Bonneville came to rest on the north embankment and was disabled. The Nissan came to rest on the north embankment and received minor damage.
Nauman's Bonneville was towed from the scene by Gaines Garage. Ulysses Fire Police were dispatched to the scene and handled traffic for State Police. Nauman was charged with FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY. Both drivers wore their seat belts.
