State DOC?pulls 27 inmates from Clinton prison

LOCK HAVEN EXPRESS- The Clinton County Correctional Facility is losing $1,350 a day because the state Department of Corrections has decided to send its inmates to prisons in Michigan and Virginia.
The Clinton County commissioners say moving of 27 state inmates from the local prison makes no sense- especially in light of the fact that the other states are charging $60 a day to house the prisoners, and the local jail is charging less than $50.
The move is part of an initiative by the DOC to transfer about 2,100 inmates to correctional facilities in other states. More...

Yeah well that makes a lot of sense.... more taking lessons from the state of New York..... fools...
How 'bout we send the worthless convicts on death row to hell where they belong. That will free up 220 beds...and save millions of taxpayer dollars.
Why not send the life convicts over to the middle east to fight.

It's amazing to me how the state of Pa does not support businesses in Pa! All the state workers travel is handled by a company in Alabama. What is that????? Why not keep it in our own state? No wonder we are freakin' broke here.
