Voter Registration Closes With 10,867 On County Rolls
Registration of voters for the Nov. 2 general election closed this week with 10,867 county residents age 18 and older being eligible to cast ballots, according to Director of Elections Sandy Lewis.
Breakdown is:
6,596 Republicans,
3,357 Democats and
914 voters of other affiliations or no affiliations.
Of the latter, there are 787 who are non-partisan or independent. Potter County also has 51 Libertarians, 16 members of the Green Party and 9 Constitutional Party members.
Director Lewis reports that those who will not be available to vote on Nov. 2 may be able to obtain an absentee ballot. Completed absentee ballots must be submitted or postmarked by Oct. 29.

It is good to see diversity and variety of political views. I wish they were all conservative but good nonetheless
