Galeton Man Sentenced To Jail For Second DUI

A Galeton man was recently sentenced in Potter County Court to three to 60 months in jail for his second DUI offense. Edward C. Black, 40 was also ordered to pay a $1500 fine and perform 35 hours of community service and to surrender his driver’s license for 18 months.
According to Potter County DA Andy Watson who prosecuted the case, Black was arrested by Coudersport Borough Police during a traffic stop this past April 6 initiated by Sweden Township Police after he was observed pouring an alcoholic beverage into a pop can.
Black failed several field sobriety tests and was taken to Charles Cole Hospital where a blood draw confirmed an alcohol level of .26%, more than three times the legal limit in Pennsylvania which is .08% More news ....
