Potter County Habitat For Humanity

Potter County Habitat For Humanity

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION – October 27, 2010

WORK TO START ON GALETON HABITAT PROPERTY AND HOUSE:

Settlement was held today on the newest Potter County Habitat For Humanity property in Galeton, PA. It is located on Poplar Street (directly behind St. Bibiana’s Catholic Church). This means that we can now begin putting in the foundation and seeing about delivery of the house from the I-U9 Seneca Highlands Vo-Tech where it was built. We will need volunteers to help put in the foundation and to finish the house. We will keep you informed as to the volunteer work schedule.

There is a Groundbreaking scheduled for Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Habitat house site. The public is invited to attend.

HABITAT RECIPE BOOK AVAILABLE:

We are pleased to announce that our very first Potter County Habitat For Humanity Recipe Book is now available for sale. The cost is $15.00 each. We hope that you will support our Habitat Affiliate and our next Galeton house build by purchasing one or several. They make great Christmas Gifts. They are available at the Potter County Education Council at 227 N. Main Street in Coudersport, PA or, if you live in the local area, by e-mailing us at jrcmblain@aol.com and we will make arrangements to get your order to you.

Thank you for your interest in Potter County Habitat! We look forward to working with you!

Jim and Charlotte Blain,
Potter County Habitat For Humanity Volunteer Coordinators

Hats off to the instructor and students at Seneca Highlands Vo-Tech for building this house. What a wonderful opportunity to put learning into a real world situation!
