Robert E. "Bob" Dibble, 95, of 220 Maple St., Westfield, PA

Robert E. "Bob" Dibble, 95, of 220 Maple St., Westfield, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA.

He was born January 25, 1916 in Westfield, PA, the son of Fred and Angie Miller Dibble.

Bob taught special education and was the librarian for many years in the Warren County School District. He received his undergraduate degree from Mansfield University and his master's degrees from Edinboro University. Bob also worked for Eberle Tanning Company. He was a member of the Westfield First Baptist Church, Westfield Lodge #477 F. & A.M., Westfield Lions Club, the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Assn. and Westfield Historical Society.

He is survived by his wife, Erma L. Dibble; son, Lowell (Sandy) Watkins of Westfield, PA; daughters, Linda (Gaylon) Goolsby of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Ellen (David) Guriel of Waterford, PA; daughter-in-law, Cathy (Bruce) Watkins Atwood of Warren, PA; brother, Dale (Marilyn) Dibble of Gainesboro, TN; sister, Irma Horton of Lawman, NY; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; dear friend, Gail (Michael) Bollinger of Westfield, PA.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lyle James Watkins; granddaughter, Stephanie Goolsby; brothers, Reid and Joseph Dibble; and sisters, Freda McNamara and Loraine Kroeck.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Kenyon Funeral Home Inc., 222 West Main St., Westfield, PA, Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Westfield Baptist Church, Reverends Lewis Young, Lowell Watkins and Michael Hale officiating. Burial in Sabinsville Cemetery, Sabinsville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sabinsville Cemetery Association and the Westfield Historical Society.
