Grandpa,
I knew this day would eventually come, however I didn't ever want to face it. You were the man I always looked up to and took your word as gold. Grandpa you have taught me so much in my 25 years like love, no matter the circumstance you never turn your back on your wife or loved ones, respect, and put your family and friends first, give anyone in need the shirt off your back even if it is the last shirt you own. I could never be able to put into words how much you have affected my life, and I have always said that someday I plan on filling your shoes, however I've found that is going to be near impossible. You are an angel a saint and my hero.
I love you, goodbye, and catch a big one grandpa!

This humble man was a giant among men. I have never met a more generous, giving man. There was only one question that he ever asked when anyone mentioned that they had trouble. "What do you need?" He would move mountains to do whatever he could to help anyone in need. I can never express the gratitude, love and respect I have for my great Father. He will always influence my life and the lives of my children. He was taken from us too soon, but God has other plans for him now. It comforts me to know he will not be lonely any longer now that he is with the love of his life. I will miss him always.

Joe,
Where do I start - thank you for always making us Canadians feel so at home. The hospitality and friendship you and Olive extended to all of us was incredible and will never be forgotten. Anniversary/Fourth of July celebrations, not to mention hunting season and of course, Rusty and I became engaged in your driveway one beautiful evening under the stars in 1991, all bring back such wonderful memories of time spent with you! We were also very pleased to have been able to bring our children to visit - we weren't there ten minutes when you took Nick out on the Gator and then followed shortly after with Teagan. They had such an incredible time that weekend of 07/07/07 that they wanted to know when we could go back and we hadn't even left PA yet! That visit was bittersweet for my father (Terry) and our whole family as we knew it would be his last visit to Coudersport as he was ill with cancer but it was so important to be there. He cherished your friendship like no other. You will be missed Joe but I know you are with Olive now and somehow I can't shake the feeling that you and Dad have already dicovered where they hide the leeks up there!

To your Family: please accept our heartfelt condolences. It is with deep regret that due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to pay our respects in person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Chris Farnell-Nodder, Rusty, Nick and Teagan Nodder
