WHAT A SHAME THAT A FIFTY YEAR OLD WOULD HAVE TO LAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH MULTIPLE INJURIES FOR AN HOUR. AND NOT BE ABLE TO GET AN AMBULANCE. THANKS COUDY AMB.CREW CAUSE GALETONS WAS ON VACATION LIKE ALWAYS.. THANKS TO THE FIREMEN AND WOMEN FOR THERE HELP.
Ahh, you apparently were not on vacation so why havent you "volunteered" your time to become an EMT and help out the Galeton Ambulance folks????
What a shame you don't "volunteer" your time to help out the Galeton crew????
What a shame you don't "volunteer" your time to help out the Galeton crew????
Why don't you get off you a$$ and help by volunteering yourself. It takes a lot of time and effort to get all the classes. emt, driving etc to run with the ambulance or fire department. They need volunteers all the time. Sometimes they can't get a crew together, all departments need help not just Galeton so VOLUNTEER yourself.
It's always the ones who sit in the house on their couch and watch out their window, never volunteered a minute of their time for nothing, but take everything thats handed to them for free that make all the comments! What a shame, but I bet the next time you or your family needs help you will dial 911 won't you?????
The last time I checked Galeton is a VOLUNTEER service. Believe it or not, these people have families, jobs and lives of their own! When they take a call it is not 30 minutes that they spend away from their families, but many times well over 2 hours per call. This does not include the time they have to put in for training to keep their cards current. They devote many UNPAID hours to the community and may not get out on every call, but very seldom do they miss one! Obviously you are not a volunteer! Maybe next time before you complain you should try to be one! Next thing, you'll be complaining because the VOLUNTEERS are leaving work to take calls and you aren't getting a welfare check!
well said.. There are a lot of ppl in Galeton and in many other small towns who sit on their porches all summer long.. Seven days a week.. Waiting for uncle sam to pay them for what they think they are owed.. Get off your butts and offer to help instead of bitch about those who do. kudos to those on scene, thanks for helping our small community..
well i personally have had the experience of having galeton respond in my time of need had a flight in the air in my house and me loaded on a helicopter in less than 20 minutes all volunteer time i may add hats off to galeton ambulance crew had i had a stroke that night you would have kept me from having permanent effects
betty gorg-grover
