Fully Involved House Fire South of Shinglehouse


8:47 PMFIRE / STRUCTURE ROUTE 44 SHARON TWP

At 8:47 pm on Wednesday, Shinglehouse Fire Dept. has been dispatched to a fully involved house fire at 1299 Rt. 44, 1 mile South of Shinglehouse in Sharon Township. Reported to be the Roger Mesler residence.

Second Alarm called. Coudersport dispatched for mutual aid. Alma and Bolivar, Portville, and Westons Mills dispatched.

9:00pm--Shinglehouse has 3 engines on scene, 4 Engines from Coudersport en route

9:13--Austin To Coudersport--1 Engine Company for standby
9:18--Richburg to Bolivar Standby
9:22--Coudersport Engine on scene
9:30--Traffic backed up on Rt. 44--Avoid travel Rt. 44
9:33--Coudersport Engine 48-9 on scene
STATE POLICE REPORT RT. 44 CLOSED--DETOUR ESTABLISHED--
AVOID RT. 44 IF POSSIBLE TO AVOID DETOUR OR DELAYS
10:25--COMMAND REPORTS FIRE UNDER CONTROL

Rumor around town is that they both were outside around the time Shinglehouse was on the scene. Any pets, though, I'm not sure on.
