Level 3 Employees Level The Bricks In Downtown Coudersport

Lou Karija photo

Level 3 employees have been removing brick from East 2nd street leveling and replacing them. The group wanted to do a community project and volunteered their time to straighten and replace the bricks that have been in place for over 20 years. They have made a difference in the look of the downtown area and should be commended for their efforts. Keep up the good work.

I Agree Level 3 people should be commended for the work they have done to make our town look better, I think more people should volunteer to do the same. Thanks again Level 3 workers good job

Pride in their town. Other towns should take notice! Great job!

I would be embarrassed if I owned a store on main street and someone had to come and fix my sidewalk for me. Good job volunteers, bad job store owners.

It was a pleasure to be able to do a little something to help. Take pride in our community, it is a great place to live.

Go Level 3!

That is what our country was built on- neighbor helping neighbor- pride in OUR towns. Why shouldn't we do stuff to help our town.

July 28 1:41 want to be embarrassed by the way your town looks try living in Austin!

I think the sidewalk is the township responsibility not the business owner's. Also the little guy "businesses" incur enough costs to stay afloat. It's our taxes we don't want raised or the charity of our neighbors to fix our sidewalks.

Great work. Congratulations also to Gary and Diane Buchsen for the donation and work they do with the new sidewalk trees.

9:58 I don't know if you noticed but business in this town isn't what it used to be.

If every store front had a profitable business, and every day were filled with customers, I'm quite sure our town could do more than straighten bricks on the sidewalk.

However, our town is not booming with business and packed full of big spenders. In fact, much of the business brought to this area ships that money out.

You have to spend money to make money, and if we want people to come to our little town it has too look like a place you might want to visit (or god willing stay).

People with brains realize this, and knowing our town isn't rolling in cash to beautify main st. it's great that these workers donate their time to make a difference.

Hell, John Rigas got a pat on the back for making our main st more beautiful and he didn't even use his own sweat OR his own money :P (that was a joke)

I say applaud these people. People willing to work, to invest in their town and neighbors. These actions are what make our country better.

....Not that you complaining on the internet doesn't also serve a purpose.

Living in the apartments above the street pictured here the brick replacement is appreciated. Not to sound ungrateful though, is someone going to come clean up the bricks and stuff that was in between them from the place where we park? Just wondering out of curiosity. Thanks for all who helped!!
