A hit & Run crash on Wednesday night at 11:40 pm on Route 244 in Genesee Township, a hundred yards south of Commercial Street has State Police looking for the driver of a 1995 Ford Ranger who fled the scene.
The unknown driver was traveling north on Rt. 244 negotiating a left hand curve in the roadway. The Ranger left the northbound lane and impacted a tree sustaining disabling damage to the front portion of the vehicle.
The unknown operator then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The investigation is continuing.
Genesee Fire Dept. assisted at the scene.

seems if the vehicle was disabled and left at the scene then all they would have to do is run the plates and figure out who had the vehicle at that time...it's not rocket science unless the vehicle involved in the crash was previously reported missing.
well the owner was drunk and left the scene maybe....
A lot cheaper to pay a "leaving the scene of an accident" ticket then paying for a DUI.
"leaving the scene of an accident," isn't a simple "ticket." it's not a summary offense, most often it includes a good time on Probation, community service, plenty of fines and extra costs.
in other words, they get ya either way!
well leaving the scene of accident is cheaper than 3rd dui,and on probation
sounds like you have a lot to be proud of "we know."
you're right, maybe an investigation into anounymous posts and you might get lucky enough to tack on that 3rd DUI.
What's that, like 5 years in jail??
