PA Mudball! It'sa thing of beauty! Congrats!
Hope our kids don't get sick! Thank goodness no one got hurt! Smethport School District should be ashamed of the condition they keep their field in, but then again if the school district's officals would have done their jobs, we could have had the game changed to another safe location. The kids health and safety should be the first priority. The D-9 should make Smethport fix their field or play their events at another location.
Oh 9:00, pull your head out of your butt! It looks like they had a blast! The kids and parents know and accept the risk of playing football in any weather and field condition. Maybe these kids should just quit playing, quit getting outside and just sit at home playing video games like the rest of the youth is doing.
I"m glad I'm not the Mom washing those uniforms! Congrats Coudy!
WOW!!! A MUDDY football game! way to go Coudy!
LOL! Sometimes in football games the players get wet and sometimes they get cold. Sometimes when kids play football they get really hot and thirsty. Even so, sometimes when football players get on the field and it's raining they field gets muddy.
What's this Country coming to?
Poster 11:36 a.m., you need to pull your head out!
We are the very fortunate parent's of a stand out academic student and athlete. Our student and athlete did not get to where he or she is today, by staying inside gaming!
"Our kid" is one of the many kids, who played last night on Smethport's field. Obviously we do know and accept the risk of playing football and other sports in diverse weather conditions. (This isn't our first kid, first sporting event,or first rodeo!)
We,along with most of the other parents, grandparents, fans, coaches, etc.., were appalled at the condition of Smethport's field last night. Parents, school boards, school districts, coaches and athletic officials have the responsibility to make sure that playing conditions and playing fields are sanitary and safe, for our student athletes. Unfortunately, last night we all failed that responsibility!
Smethport's field was a mess before any of the players ever set foot on it. This field is often in similar condition,at other times of the year, for other sporting events.
granted it seems that football and mud go hand and hand and that commenting about poor field conditions usually wouldn't make sense.....but if you were there you would see that poster 9:00 and 1:54 are absolutely correct.....the field was a tractor mud pull pit well before the game even began.....the field has been criticized by coaches (not parents) all season long....obviously, you can't avoid some mud/slick conditions but that game should have been moved to a neutral site for safety reasons....finally, i'm not sure that was even mud that the kids were playing in....that stuff stunk.....has that field been fertilized with dead animals or something because a dead chicken piled in the corner of the hen house for five hot summer days smells better than whatever it was those kids were playing in last night
THANK YOU 1:54 for your come back to 11:36!
People seriously need to stop whining about the mud.... Really?!? it's football, these pansies talking about how bad the field was need to get a life and stop posting about this..
Amen 9:54! I agree with you 100%! they just need to quit posting about the Mud!!!!!!!!Mud!!!Mud!!!
We are the parents of one of the Smethport football players and have to say that we are truly embarresed by the condition of our players field. We have complained numerous times to no avail. I am as concerned as ALL of the players parents and hope that something get done about the situation.
I wasn't there so I can't comment one way or the other (it does look like that would be damn fun to play in), but people can post about whatever the f*&^ they want to. Again, you don't like what is being posted then don't read it.
Pansies??? I was at the Pony football game yesterday talking with coaches who were there and were appalled by the conditions not sure I would call these guys pansies as they would likely beat my ass.
There was some coal lateral damage because the Falcon Dildine Power banner got dragged in the mud and when it went through the washing machine down at D&L some of the colors ran. Tooter has agreed to restore it so the power of the dildine lives on and the Fightin' Falcons are still undefeated.
thanks for the credit... but I sold the sign shop to Jon Blumer and he did the awesome banner. Jon also stands up for everything that he does.
Oh, they should have played on Coudy's field because there is no mud at all there? Get real you whiners. That is what the game is all about. I'll bet those kids had a ball (no pun(t) intended). Some people just have to bitch, bitch, bitch.
A job for the Fire Department. Hose them all down and leave the MUD there...
mud on a football field?! Gasp!
what's next??
Water at a swim meet?
