I would love to come out in support of this having been a victim of domestic violence many many years ago. The Coudersport Police Dept of 30-some years ago was a great help to me, helping to get me out of a very bad situation when I was a young woman. I will not be able to attend as I have to work but I am in support of those who are helping those who are real victims of domestic violence. However I do not support those who cry wolf just to give a bad name to an innocent spouse/SO. Having been a true battered spouse in the past it makes me very angry to hear of those who accuse someone just to "get even".
Many women lie like hell just to get the kids and the free welfare money that comes with them and go right on screwing the next guy.
And we wonder why women get blamed for crying wolf when we really do neeed help.
I hope this gathering is a large one to bring awarness to the growing problem of domestic violence.
Very serious problem in our area that not many are aware of. Nice to see the support.
