WVTT news radio expands to local television

WVTT news radio expands to local television

Olean, NY, October 2011 – Jeff Andrulonis, President of Colonial Radio Group, announced today that the morning show on WVTT news radio will be simulcast of WONS television in Olean.

WVTT at 99.1FM in Olean and 103.9FM in Kane, PA offers news and talk twenty four hours per day. WONS television will broadcast the live morning show weekdays from 6am to 9am, which features news anchors Casey Hill and Michael Baldwin.

Contributors to the show include Andrulonis who is also the McKean County news director, Olean bureau chief Bill Bumpas, Harrisburg bureau chief Howard Ondick and reporters Dan Rooney, Dale Forbis and environmental reporter Jen Austin. The morning show also features Fox News Radio, ABC news, the Wall Street Journal Report, the Oil & Gas Minute, sports and AccuWeather.

“I’m really quite excited about this,” said Andrulonis. “Not only are we the only station in the market to do this, but we’ll be able to reach even more people beyond our radio signal,” he added. WONS television has been on the air in Olean since March 1986. It operates over the air on channels 20 and 25 and is also carried by Time Warner cable on channel 15. According to Andrulonis, the cable channel is carried in Eldred, Ulysses, Ellicottville, Wellsville and though out Cattaraugus county and the Twin Tiers (check local listings).

Andrulonis concluded, “It really is the perfect match. WVTT news radio stands for the Voice of the Twin Tiers and WONS stands for We’re Olean’s News Source.”

This would be also great if you could get zito media to pick this up for the other surrounding areas.
We need a live news cast, with local news, sports and weather.
