New School Opening in Smethport
A new Preschool through 12th grade Christian school will be opening in the Smethport area for the 2012-13 school year.
An informational meeting for prospective students and parents will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the East Smethport United Christian Church.

I wonder how high their academic standards will be, or doesn't that matter?
Why should it matter how high their academic standards are? A lot of kids are unable to meet the academic standards in public schools right now and many experts are saying that they are setting the standards too high and they should be put back to where they were before. Who cares if we are the leader in the world of academics? Why do we always have to be # 1? The important thing is that our children are learning the basics and PASSING in the three R's.
People want LESS government in their lives, then when something like this shows that people get ticked-off about it.
We aren`t even close to being the leader in the world of academics.... Who fed you that ?
