A 6 year old boy suffered major injuries and was flown to Children's Hospital in Buffalo by Life Net 7-7 helicopter on Wednesday afternoon after his Hot Wheels bicycle was struck by a vehicle in the Boro of Oswayo.
Trooper Kocher, who is investigating, said the 6:08 pm accident occurred as a 2001 Ford Expedition operated by Lori J. Roeske, 54, of Oswayo, PA, was traveling northbound in the northbound half of School Street.
The child, operating a Hot Wheels bicycle entered the west side of School Street, traveling in an easterly direction in front of Roeske's expedition which struck the right side of the bicycle & the 6 year old with it's front side. The boy was thrown to the roadway. The child was not wearing a safety helmet.
State Pollice do not identify juveniles, making it virtually impossible to obtain further information about the child's condition. Family members are invited to update the child's condition in comments.
State Police were assisted by Shinglehouse Fire Dept., Shinglehouse Ambulance, Medic 6 and Life Net 7-7.

Virtually impossible to violate their HIPAA privacy priveliges. I'm sure the rumor mill on here will help out and let everyone know whats up!
To post 7:23, we just want to know how the boys conditions is. And how is it violatiing the HIPAA act when the post said the family of the child can update on his condition. And I'm sure you are probably part of the rumor mill.
7:23 is just saying why police don't release that information.
they are bound by HIPPA regulations, what's posted on here is a different story although I hope that the family has given permission for the childs name to be released before it's stated on here.
praying for the child!
The child has a hairline fracture but should be home tomorrow ! Prayers work !!!!!
Thank God he is ok.
Im thinking about the poor family and hope the kid will be ok.... prayers continue.
The "boy" is still in the hospital he had surgery yesterday to put a drain tube in his spine to stop the fluids from coming out of his ear.
