MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT

ROUTE 49

Originally dispatched as a traffic accident, State Police revealed in a news release today, that
Christopher J. Didas, 49, of 160 River Street, Apt. 102, Hornell, NY, shot himself at a pull off along Rt. 49, east of Harrison Valley, 1/2 mile west of the Potter/Tioga County line. 

Didas was flown to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, where he succumbed to the wound.

Assisting Trooper Glenn C. Drake II were Tri-Town Ambulance, Harrison Valley Fire Dept. and Medic 6. The vehicle was towed by Black's Towing of Shinglehouse, PA.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT

HEBRON TWP

6:56 am 911 dispatched Cdspt Fire/EMS and Medic 6 to a 1 vehicle crash w/unknown injuries. Upon arrival of Assistant Chief Haskins established command and reported two with injuries, one possibly entrapped. Upon arrival crews went to work w/extrication, Hazardous material control. Both were extricated and transported to CCMH by CVAA and Medics. Assisted at the scene by CVAA, Medic 6, PSP Cdspt, Kightlinger motors, The electric company to restore the pole w/utilities.
