More than half of all small businesses in Pennsylvania do not have a website even though 97 percent of consumers look online for local products and services. If your business is in this camp, Google’s new “Get Your Business Online” program might be able to help.
The program, which is earning a reputation for being fast, easy and free, is a national effort to grow small businesses by helping get more of them online so they can reach more customers. The program was brought to PA with the help of the PA Dept. of Community & Economic Development and other partners.
Businesses participating in the program get a free, easy-to-build Intuit website; free web hosting for one year; free online tools and training; and a free customized domain name. After the first year, the website costs $4.99/month and the domain name is $2/month. Both services can be cancelled at any time. Visit www.PennsylvaniaGetOnline.com to learn more!
