Shelton, Audrey J., 78, formerly of Grahamsville, NY

Audrey J. Shelton
Audrey J. Shelton, 78, formerly of Grahamsville, NY, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Donald L. Shelton; her parents, Herbert and Lulu Dreher; and her sisters Margaret Squier and Betty Curry. 

She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Doris and Jerry Lambert of Shinglehouse, PA; Donald, Jr and Anne Shelton of Neversink, NY; Ronald and Margo Shelton of Great Mills, MD; Karen Shelton of Grahamsville, NY; and Patti and Larry McComb of Richmond, VA. 

She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Arthur and Imogene Dreher, of Kerhonkson, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. 

She was adored by her nine grandchildren: Jason (Desah), Brenda and Nikki Lambert, Cheryl and Lindsey Shelton, Stefanie and Kristopher (Jenna) Shelton, Kelcey Suslosky, and Taylor McComb and five great-grandchildren and loved spending time with them. 

Audrey was a retired cook at Rondout Valley Central School in Kerhonkson, NY. She was an avid reader and loved playing bingo and completing crossword puzzles. She loved to help and bake for others. 

A memorial service will be held 4 PM Saturday July 14 at Bliley’s - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., Richmond, VA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.
