Sentenced In McKean County Court

Sentenced In McKean County Court

Sara J. Jones, 24, Port Allegany, was sentenced to 1-3 years in state prison. She had pleaded guilty in August to running a meth lab in her home. She was also ordered to pay about $2,400 restitution. Judge John Pavlock said that figure may increase, since the court had not received a bill from the Department of Environmental Protection for its role in the clean-up at the lab site.

Robert K. Pierce, 21, of Eldred, will serve 45 days to 18 months in McKean County Jail and complete 60 hours of community service. He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Kenneth R. Distrola Jr., 35, of Bradford, was sentenced to 90 days to five years in state prison, and he will complete 220 hours of community service. He is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Assistant District Attorney Philip Clabaugh said this is the fourth DUI Distrola’s had. “(Distrola) does have a clear history with alcohol,” he said, adding that the most recent DUI occurred two days after he finished serving his sentence for the previous DUI.

Im glad that Jones girl got off fairly easy, 1-3 years, maybe she'll be out in less than one, and can start over and stay away from the rif-raf 'friends' she had.I dont know her but heard she comes from a great family. Good luck girl

Hope ALL of Ms Jones friends visit her on a regular basis. After all isn't that what her "friends" did BEFORE she got caught?

Funny how one has so many friends til something goes wrong.

Let's all focus on the future - which cannot be taken away from Sara, and can only improve from here. We love and support her, and she knows what she has to do from this point on.

I think it is BS on the sentencing of Sara. She put how many people's life in danger by having an active meth lab, selling and distibuting and only get's 1 year ? What was that judge thinking ? Obvisoulsy not clearly. I've know people who did alot less and recieved a much more harsher punishment. I guess it boil's down to who you know and who you blow. Ashley

So who are YOU blowing Ashley?

@1:52 - you speak about knowing and blowing from experience?? I'd love to see a last name!

Yeah 1:52, maybe we could get together some time. Just sayin'

Ashley, I hope you remain perfect and unforgving, if you're child gets sick with an addiction! We will help Sara get back on her feet! As far as sentencing goes, you must be referring to the guy @ the same hearing; that got 90 days for a forth DUI? Or maybe the baby raper that gets county time? God bless ya!! Brad Jones
