2 Men Lifeflighted From Lumber Township Truck Crash

Two men were life flighted to out of area hospitals after a Tuesday morning truck crash on Route 120, approximately 1 mile east of Stillhouse Road in Lumber Township, Cameron County.

H. B. VonHause, 57, of Emporium, PA, was driving a 2001 Ford 550 truck owned by Lumber Township eastbound on Route 120 when the truck drifted off the road and impacted guiderails with the right side of the vehicle. The truck continued east and drove through a yard and became airborne for approximately 20 feet, then continued in an easterly direction and into a ravine where it came to rest approximately 50 feet off the roadway.

Trooper Farabaugh, from the Emporium barracks who investigated said both Von Hause and his passenger, Charles Conner, 44, of Driftwood, PA, were flown to out of area trauma centers by medical helicopters from a landing zone set up at the Emporium Golf Club nearby. The investigation is continuing.
Both occupants were wearing seat belts. State Police did not release any information on on the men's conditions. The truck was severely damaged.
