Bernice L. Cooper Green, 94, of Smethport, PA

Bernice L. Cooper Green, 94, of Smethport, PA., passed on to her heavenly home on (November 10, 2012) while in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, N.Y.

She was born August 27,1918 in Smethport, a daughter of William and Lillie Okerlund Cooper.

Ms. Green was a graduate of Smethport High School and had been employed as a secretary for the Pa. Dept. of Transportation, worked for Sterling Oil and Quaker State, and retired from the position of case worker for the Pa. Employment Office.

She is survived by one son: Roger (Sandy) Green of Wilmot, N.H. and two daughters: Jacquelyn Whitton of Warsaw, N.Y. and Georgia (Don) Igoe of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

one brother: Robert (Jo) Cooper of Brooksville, Florida.

one sister: Mary Johnson of Smethport, Pa.

8 special grandchildren and 18 special great-grandchildren.

There are also many special nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and two brothers of the area: Arthur (Ellen) Cooper and William (Alice) Cooper.

A private graveside service was held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
