As a Canisteo resident I can say this young man made those around him smile and laugh. The "Jayne Boys" live down the street from me. I just seen him when he first arrived back on U.S. soil for R&R. Thoughts and prayers to All of this family and tons of friends, the community and those who served with Ryan. Hearts are breaking. Thank you Ryan you paid the ultimate price. You will be greatly missed in this community,by family and friends.

There were 3 Army reservists from upstate NY killed. They were doing route clearing and were taken out by an IED.
