Dorothy J. NELSON, 80, of Wellsville, NY, formerly of Coudersport, PA, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. 

She was born March 8, 1932, in Rexville, NY. On October 31, 1948, in Wellsville, she married Richard D. Nelson, who survives. 

She was employed by Cooper-Slide in Genesee, Pennsylvania Forestry Dept., school bus driver for Coudersport and Oswayo Valley, and Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. 

Her poems were published in the Olean Times Herald for many years. 

Surviving besides her husband, Richard, are: a son, Richard (Joyce) Nelson, Jr. of Oswayo, PA; four daughters, Janet (Vern) Vergason of Oswayo, PA, Donna Jean (Charles) Collins of North Chili, NY, Joy (Terry) Klimek of Oswayo, PA, and Sharon (Gary) Jones of Wellsville, NY; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Charles (Charlotte) Sutton of Oswayo, PA, Byron (Marie) Sutton of Eldred, PA, Lowell (Bonnie) Graves of Genesee, PA, Lynn (Judy) Graves of Covington, PA, and Leon (Debbie) Graves of Middlebury Center, PA; four sisters, Maude (James) Goodenough of Gold PA, Linda (Roy) Thomison of Blossburg, PA, Louise Payne of Emporium, PA, and Lucille Copp of Emporium, PA; and nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by an infant son, Lloyd Nelson; her mother, Lillian; and two great-grandsons, Skye and Alex; and a brother, Leo J. Graves. 

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. The Rev. Howard Burnham will officiate.
