That is fabulous guys. Gators did great this year. I am very proud of all you guys. Keep up the good work.
So proud of you guys, great team effort. So proud to be a "GATOR". Congratulations.....:)
whear how great the quarterback is how about the front line that protects him who are they
Congratulations to the Gators! Good luck and looking forward to you guys representing D9 in the playoffs.
hey, 9:36, don't try to bring anybody down. This has been a great story about a great team all year. Read the newspapers. The coach, the QB & everybody else are always talking about the line & how they can't do any of this without them. Great job GATORS, keep rolling!
Great job Gators and good luck in the playoffs. Why didn't the photographer get the secret weapon in this picture? The Gator Dildine Power banner has been the good luck charm all season long. Now watch the dumb PIAA try to confascate it in the playoffs. The cheerleaders put all that work into it and then they have to hide it. Not fair!
hey 10.46 they talk about them how about some names and faces not trying to bring anybody down just want them to get thier day in the spot light
I see football players and cheerleaders...what about the band they are part of this too! They go all over the country side and support the football team just like the cheerleaders!
Agian, Read the newspapers, I read their names in there more than I've ever read linemans names. And it is well deserved. It's the game of football, all the way to the pros, lineman don't get their names called a lot. Just the way it is.
I totally agree with 9:01:00 AM EST.. We should have put some band members in in the 4th quarter.
Helmets off too a great team,Way to play with intensity.Good luck in the play offs.Sure would be nice to see you playing football in DECEMBER !!!!!!!
Every article about the team, one or two Internet trolls have to try and disparage their accomplishments. Look at the photo on the page, look at the headline. It says Gators (as in the TEAM), the photo is of all of the players, even if they may have been injured and not dressed yesterday, the coaches, and the cheerleaders. There is a photo of one of the color guard up on the post. In short, it was a team effort, and a community event.
I'll type this slowly, as I doubt you can read very fast. If you have a child on this team, you are doing them an injustice. This is perhaps the biggest thing they will be a part of in their school years, and the only memory they're likely to carry away from it is how the entire time they were a part of it, mom or dad was just carping about it.
If you don't have a child on the team, then you obviously still have festering splinters from those many years ago when you were riding the bench. As such, you're just noise.
Very nicely said 3:03
Nice post 3:03. I don't think I could put it that well and my choice of words would more than likely prevent its approval by the moderator.
Gator football.
Gator cheerleeding.
Gator band.
Go Gators.
I have to wonder if the folks that use this forum to complain about anything and everything aren't parents of players?
If you complain during the game to anyone who will listen, do you really think that posting on here "anounymous" doesn't scream who you are??!!
Every sport, every coach, every team mate is the problem...right?! Not the fact that the red carpet isn't unfolded everytime YOUR child steps on the field.
If more fans/parents who listen to these parents at the game would tell them to shut up, this garbage might stop.
Talk about the Dildine Power banner, we took ours to support our Coudersport Falcons in the district baseball playoffs at Emporium and a certain man confiscated it and refused to give it back. He didn't say anything about the PIAA, he just didn't like the banner and he was from Emporium and said he was the field manager. Big whupping deal. I suggest the Port Allegany cheerleaders take the banner to the playoffs if it is your good luck charm and if they try to confiscate it, just refused. Take it down, fold it up, and fly it at the next game!
http://sunkenbranch.zenfolio.com/portbrockwaygame2 will be where the pictures are, whenever I get to it. There are a couple on there now with free download until I get the rest ready, then the free goes away.
I try and share different Gators each time for the blog, and have taken many band pictures recently. Thanks for your patience.
Leo...Nice Pictures. Didn't know they were out there. Thanks for letting us know. :)
3:03, you seem to have some obsession with the people who 'rode the bench' so many years ago. Everyone of the guys on this team rode the bench at some point, and you sound like your kid didn't didn't!!!
I'm sure your kid is THE BEST at wehatever he does, and he's fast and strong, and clever, and takes after his mother, snicker.
Now you're talking about infections from shards of wood, what the hell, you're all over the page. You must be some kind of medical personnel to be so familiar with infections, let's hope the big bust Saturday night didn't infect your kid. I'm sure all the players and cheerleaders at the party will be back in time for the playoff game, don't forget, NOTHING in Port is as important as the football team, even though the kids aren't meeting AYP in reading.
To keep this in perspective, let's remember that football supports ACADEMICS, not the other way around.
Hope the PIAA doesn't get wind of the slaps on the wrist the partygoers will get, maybe they will step in and remind the mighty gators that they're in HS to get an education, not play sports.
The boosters will remember that in a couple of weeks and next year, when this team gets beat in the state playoffs and comes back to the reality that this is AML football.
Finally, the question no one else seems to be asking, "What about next year?"
This offense won't fly without a pilot next year. The backup kid is okay, but he's no Bodamer, lol. I predict next year's record to be 4-5.
Can't wait to hear the "Gators! Gator football" cheer next season when you're losing big.
Well, I certainly hope that your kids don't read this and see how proud you are of their school, their team and their community, and your low expectations for all.
If I wrote something like this, and my children read it, I think we would all be ashamed.
And that is my last comment. You are unworthy of any further attention.
@3:03
What makes you think I'm in the Port district? Lol, just like your post earlier, you have NO CLUE as to what pride in a school should be. It's not the athletes or those programs I'm worried about, it's my kid getting a quality education, and I assure you that my kids are doing just that where they attend school.
My 'low expectations' to you are conjecture (look it up).
I think the Port team should be proud of what they've done! Any further into the playoffs is bonus!!!! As for the QB, wonderful job!! Be proud of your record and the accomplishments you have made. You might have a record that will never be broken. I wish you luck and hope you evolve into a player that has success in college. I hope you go into the NFL and win multiple Super Bowls, if that is what you want in life.
None of that changes the FACT that the record was set in the AML. None of that changes the FACT that what it takes to win a state title is more than Port has in the tank.
None of that changes the FACT that the rabid fans and well-wishers of Port love their kids and school, I don't dispute that at all.
And finally, none of that changes the FACT that next year you're in trouble. Good luck.
That last comment must be from a Hubber,ha
I agree, that must be a poor sport Hubber blowing smoke out his ass. Gators have ruled the Hubbers for the past 12 years, lol
HUBBERS RULE!!!!
GATORS DROOL!!!!!
MUUUUAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
And by the way........
All the wishing in the world doesn't turn 5'9" into 6'1".
Neither does listing a kid at 6'1" into every program this season.
