With his owner, Sharon Smoker, Rufus is specially trained as a Reading Education Assistance Dog (READ) that helps young readers read better.
READ dogs are specially trained to be passive in the presence of young children who then learn to read aloud with confidence.
Smoker, is a new member of R.E.A.D. A program of Intermountain Therapy Animal
The Genesee Area Library is the first library in the area to off this program. Join us December 1 from 2 PM until 4 PM and meet Rufus.
