A Genesee man was jailed Monday evening after he was taken into custody by State Police on a felony warrant charging him with Receiving Stolen Property from an incident that occurred on 1-24/26, 2012 at a residence in Ulysses.
William Darwin Shutt Jr., 36, of Genesee, PA, was arraigned in front of District Judge Delores Weiss and remanded to the Potter County Jail in lieu of $5,000. straight bail.
Trooper David A. Surra said the original incident was reported to PSP Coudersport in January 2012 for a burglary at the residence of Nicholas Williams at 601 South Water Street in Ulysses. After an extensive investigation, with the assistance of New York State Police, a felony warrant was issued by District Court 55-4-03 on August 30, 2012.
On Monday, 11-26-2012 at about 5:15 PM, Shutt Jr. was taken into custody on the felony arrest warrant issued for receiving stolen property (a firearm), by members of the PSP Criminal Investigation Unit and Patrol Unit.
