Marvin W. Scrimshaw, 91, of Emporium, a former Renovo Resident

Marvin W. Scrimshaw, 91, of Emporium and a former Renovo resident passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.

He was born in Renovo on Oct. 11, 1921 he was the son of Ruben and Edna (Steckenfinger) Scrimshaw.

He retired from Ford Motor Company and he also worked for the Lansdale School District as a custodian.

He was Methodist by faith. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. of Lansdale. He served in the Navy during WWII.

Surviving are one daughter Rosemary (Theodore) Mroz of Lansdale; two sisters Dessie Lininger of Emporium and Twila Welsh of Ridgeway, also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at North Bend Cemetery.

Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo has charge of arrangements.
