New Oswayo Creek Bridge in Shinglehouse to Open Monday
Potter County –Work to replace a structurally deficient bridge on Route 44 in Shinglehouse will end late Monday. Once the new bridge is open to traffic, PennDOT will close and remove the temporary bridge that has been in place since June. With the new bridge open, the list of structurally deficient bridges in Potter County will shrink by one.
The bridge spans Oswayo Creek on Route 44 in the borough of Shinglehouse.
Crews are working to place base paving, binder and guide rail in order to get traffic on the bridge by late afternoon, Monday, Nov. 19. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
Crews will return in spring of 2013 to perform final paving, grading and seeding.
Dolomite Products Group of Rochester, New York, is the contractor on this $3.3 million project.
