No Injuries In Morning Crash In Marshburg

There were no injuries in a crash of a Ford F 150 pickup truck at 6:45 am this morning on Route 59 in the Lafayette Township hamlet of Marshburg.

Trooper Leslie Barr, who investigated, said Steven E. Rutherford, 22, of Spring Creek, PA, was traveling east when a deer emerged from the north roadside and crossed the road entering into the eastbound lane. The truck struck the deer and Rutherford was unable to control the vehicle as it swerved into the westbound lane. The truck then traveled back across the lane and left the roadway on the south roadside, then re-entering the eastbound lane where it continued to swerve, crossing again into the westbound lane where it overturned, coming to rest on it's passenger side in the westbound lane.

Neither Rutherford nor his passengers, Cody W. Epling, 24, of Clarendon, PA, and  Michael T. Anderson, 48, of Sheffield, PA, was injured. Lafayette Fire Department assisted at the scene. EMS from Bradford was summoned but recalled when it was found that no one was injured.
