PennDOT Plans to Open New Dry Run Bridge on Route 477 Friday

Lock Haven –PennDOT plans to open the new Dry Run Bridge on Route 477 by the end of the day, Friday. Work has been underway since early April to replace the 75-year old bridge, which spans Dry Run in Lamar Township, about a half mile east of Salona. Replacing the old bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from the list of structurally deficient bridges in Clinton County.

Once the bridge is open, PennDOT will be able to lift the detour that’s been in place since early June. The 7-mile detour used Route 477, Route 220, and Route 2008 (Auction Road).

Remaining work on the project will be done during daylight hours with traffic control. Area drivers could encounter flaggers in the roadway until Thanksgiving, as workers finish up the project.

Work on the bridge has included full structure replacement, waterline relocation, guide rail and drainage updates, paving of approaches and miscellaneous construction.

All work is weather and schedule dependent. LTT Trucking of North Bend has been the contractor on this $1 million project. Drivers are reminded to be cautious in all work zones and always buckle up.
