Phillip Distrola, 84, of Center Point, IA formerly of Bradford, and Salamanca

Phillip Distrola, 84, of Center Point, IA formerly of Bradford, and Salamanca, passed away Thursday November 8, 2012, at the home of his daughter Virginia, surrounded by family.

Born January 23, 1928 in Bradford, he was the son of the late Phillip Distrola and Mary (DeAugistino) Distrola.

Mr. Distrola attended Bradford Area Schools. He was employed for 43 years as a Maintenance Away Worker for the Railroads. He retired in 1991 after working for the B & O, Chessie Systems, CX and BP Railroads.

Mr. Distrola was a former member of Moose Lodge # 124.

Surviving are four daughters: Virginia Lewis of Center Point, IA. Ann Distrola of Bradford, Sharon King of Bradford, Susan (Tony) Grumet of Arkansas, one son Daniel (Debbie) Distrola of California. He also had three step-children Lareen (Fritz) Wolfe, Jeanne (Russell) Kenyon, and Carl (Sue) Agnelli, 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Elizabeth who died in 2002, two brothers Steven and Nicholas, three sisters Patricia, Madelyn, and Louise.

There will be no public visitation. Friends are welcome to join the family for a graveside services on Saturday November 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Wildwood Cemetery in Salamanca. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to McKean County American Cancer Society at 94 Main Street, Bradford, PA.
