BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford has promoted two members of the faculty to the rank of full professor.
Dr. Kevin A. Ewert has been promoted to professor of theater, and Tim Ziaukas has been promoted to professor of public relations.
“Achieving the rank of full professor is a major goal for many faculty members,” said Dr. Steven Hardin, vice president and dean of academic affairs. “We’re very happy that Tim and Kevin have achieved this important goal. The university is proud to recognize their significant accomplishments through the awarding of this promotion.”

Ziaukas is director of the public relations program and teaches courses in public relations, communications and popular culture. Before coming to Pitt-Bradford in 1994, he was director of communications for Pitt’s Oakland campus. He has published in “American Journalism,” “The Journal of Public Relations Research” and “Public Relations Quarterly,” among other journals and magazines. Ziaukas holds a Master of Arts in literature and a Master of Fine Arts in creative non-fiction from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently on the editorial board of “American Journalism,” he also serves as marketing consultant for the Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center. He is now completing a program in Egyptology from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
