Great Job Gator Boys!! You are truly the best BEST team and people to come thru PHS. So Proud of you all. This team here is good peeps on and off the field! Job well done to you all. Coaching staff great job in teaching these boys! They look up to each of you and want to play hard for you and for themselves and their family and friends. You taught them to play well, they were born to play with their heart. Just watching this team you can tell they all have heart for the game. So proud of how far you have made it thus far and hope to watch a couple few more games.
We'll see how "for real" they are when they actually play a good team. I hope they win next week so we all can watch Clairiton beat them by 50.

9:42, How far do you have to go to play a "good" team? They're in the final 8 in the state, I think it's been a pretty good run against some good teams. I twas said "wait until they play Kane, crushed them. This was said before they played Brockway, crushed them twice. Then it was said before they played an undefeated Clarion, crushed them. When does it stop? How about giving credit when credit is due. Stop being a hater because you were never any good at anything.

I don't have any kids in any sports in this league. However, I would bet that there is a ton of people that do have kids playing that are praying for this team to get beaten badly. I have lived here my entire life and have never seen a team still throwing the ball up 50 points. Being good is one thing. Being repeatedly unsportmanlike will bring a lot of haters. Good luck gators. I am sure that even if they win the state championship, this team will pay for this year for many years to come.
Great job again Gator boys!!! We all continue to support each of you as you move on!! Why can some people on here and around the area just not be happy to see such a good team this year?? They have proved to you they are good - they have continued to win when you said they wouldn't - week after week! But why would anyone from this area wish them to be beat?? Why not be happy for the boys, the school, the town or the district!! Also remember that this is a high school team - and these boys are teenagers! Please remember this when posting! So is everyone saying they pretty much just want to see the team just lay on the field!! They are scoring on teams like this that were UNDEFEATED prior to playing them. I don't think that it's fair for you to say they just run the score up to be unsportsmanlike!! They are doing what they know how to do - play football!! Your full of CRAP 7:02. The starters have barely played all year in the 2nd half. Most games during the regular season they played 1 series in the 2nd half. They didn't play into the 4th qtr this year until the playoffs! Have you seen any games or are you just guessing from looking at the scores?
I am looking at the stat sheet. I have seen them play. You are correct, this team is good. However, how do you tell me that they aren't running up the score and see a quarterback put up seven touchdowns on a team that scored 7 points the entire game. In that case, that made it 42 to 7 in the first half and if there weren't any other touchdowns. How would you keep a straight face and tell me they weren't running up scores? These coaches better hope they keep great teams. If not, expect some destruction coming back your way. And, as always, it will be the Gator fans crying foul.
These kids that are seniors, when do you expect them to get playing time? You can't pull your staters before the 1st half is over. They need their playing time also. Our QB averaged around 20 pass attempts a game which means we run the ball as much as we pass. You can't quit running your offense before halftime. Their goal was to win districts, if they sat on the bench most of the game they would not be prepared to do that.
If you can't say something positive, then keep your mouth shut. This is high school, not the pro's for Gods sake. This team is doing GREAT. Several people thought for certain they might get beat against Clarion, & well guess what they prevailed, & big, so what! How can you expect them, in play-offs, or regular season, to try to keep the score as low as possible? That would surely give the opposing team every opportunity to win. DUH! Good job Gators. Keep going !!!!!
Sounds like some of these negative comments are from fans of teams that Port defeated, get over it losers. If teams don't like the number of points the Gators put up then they should find a way to stop them from scoring, so far that hasn't happened.You can't tell the kids to lay down and not play. The starters haven't played a full game yet. Backups have usually taken over in the 3rd quarter.
I for one am a big fan if the gators however I am disappointed over hearing what was swept under the rug in order for the players and cheerleaders to keep playing!
if you think you "know" something was swept under the rug you would be knowing WRONG!!!!!!!!! get the facts before saying so and Martha and her rumor mill do not have the facts if they had the facts it would not have been announced as a beer party put on by the cheerleaders for the athelets of PHS as very few atheletes for any of the teams were even there and if you must know the fact well the fact is when booze came those few left the scene as they knew what was at stake and wouldnt gamble their football careers over it. Now with that fact out there everyone needs to forget about the blasted thing get behind the boys and support them as they move on. Weather you are a Gator fan or not you should be in support of such a fabulous team with great and powerful players who are here this year and gone next so yeah your also right they wont be as good next year as rebuilding will begin. They will be left with 1 starter to work with so will take time to get it back but i assure you they will never again see the talent all at once as they have this year. These boys are great and we need to all get behind them and quit whining about the scores as they do what needs to be done and if they slack off that teaches them nothing and will not have them ready for when they do meet there match. Practice is as practice does and these boys have done there time and worked incredibly hard to be at the level they are at and for those of you who cant see that then GO AWAY and quit watching!!!!!!!!!!

That's what makes Smethport different from Port. The Hubbers went 8 and a half YEARS without losing a regular season game. Port has gone 1, yet here's a Port 'fan' blowin that horn about this being the 'Dream Team' and 'best D-9 team ever'.
They are, by far the best D9 team. It is hard to compare because this team has changed the game with their offense. There is not a team past or present that could stop this offense. And their defense has let up darn near nothing all year. this is coming form somebody who is not from Port & has been around D9 football for over 50 years
I am a Coudersport alumnae and I am rooting for the Gators to go all the way. Don't let this petty negative talk on there get to you Gator fans, as some people are just jealous or they just want to be negative cuz its their nature. I am happy to see the dildine tradition continue at Port Allegany too as we had a load of fun with that back in our Purple and White glory days. Please know that we are all behind you and forget all the BS on here. We want to see that Gator Dildine Power banner flapping in the breeze on PCN in the State Championship Game!!!

You, sir, are a moron. 50 years ago would be 1962, and I assure you that 'D9' wasn't even in existence until many years after that. For Gods sake, they used to play half their games in New York until the mid 80S!

From the fool/moron. What was meant was I been in the area & around football where D9 football is now, for 50 years. It wasn't D9 back then but the towns haven't moved. same area, different leagues names. Too much anger on here. People need to relax & support their area, especially the kids.
