Northern Pennsylvania voters overwhelmingly voted Mitt Romney as their President in the 2012 General Election. In fact nearly all the Republican candidates were successful in their runs for office in the Northern Tier.Unfortunately for the Republicans, the rest of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania had different ideas and Democrats won the state races.
And the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania is not the United States of America. The United States picked Barack Obama and Joe Biden to lead our country for another four years.

My parents always argued politics, but after elections America used to RALLY behind it's leader with honor and respect for democracy.

I get sick of comments like if you're a Democrat you're on welfare. I have 6 people in my neighborhood who are all diehard Republicans and they are all on disability and come from a long line of family history that get help from the government. It's like the family business. I know a lot of hard working Democrats who go to work every day despite their health problems because they don't want to take a hand-out. So don't generalize.

It takes 3 branches of govt. to fulfill and pass "ideas" that presidential candidates promise every election, not just one man...that would be a dictatorship...the president is only one of the three branches. You need the Senate and Congress. This was all taught in 6th grade people. Doesn't matter who is in the office. Without the cooperation of the the other 2 bodies, it doesn't happen.
