Route 147 lane closure at fuel spill in Point Township

Route 147 lane closure at fuel spill in Point Township

Motorists in Northumberland County are advised of a lane closure this hour along Route 147 between Fryling Road and Lahrs Road in Point Township.

A tractor trailer wrecked and spilled fuel along several thousand feet of the northbound lane. This is in the three-lane section of Route 147. Traffic is moving slowly in both directions, with northbound traffic directed into the center lane.

Initial cleanup operations are likely to keep the lane closed for the next several hours.

Motorists may wish to avoid that area, if possible, for the time being.
