Route 15 safety project wrapping up for winter shutdown
Here’s an update on the safety improvement project wrapping up its first year of construction on the Montgomery Pike section of Route 15 near South Williamsport.
The contractor is placing temporary concrete barrier in the area of the rock cut today. After this is completed, the southbound lanes will be reopened to two lanes and there should be no scheduled work for the winter.
Because it is still a construction project, routine inspections and maintenance of the project will be done as needed for the winter.
The contractor will resume work in the spring to complete the project late next year.
