Man Pleads Guilty to Accident That
Critically Injured St. Marys Woman
At around 3:15 a.m. on July 28 in St. Marys Schatz hit Natasha Schmitz, leaving her with a broken pelvis, a hole in her leg, a broken arm and kidney and liver damage. She spent a month in the hospital and another month in physical therapy.
At first Schatz claimed his SUV had been stolen, but later admitted to being the driver who hit Schmitz.

Accidents happen... even at 3:15 in the morning
WOW!!! What a light sentence. He could have killed her and just left and then lied about it. Sounds like he needs taken out behind the woodshed.
Its sad that our justice system is like this. He gets 90 days for that but if I got caught with a roach I would get more time.
Somebody should take this guys man card.
This man has a history of driving while intoxicated. If he hadn't been dumb enough to ditch his car where there were camera's he might have gotten away with this completely. Instead he received a 90 day spanking. He needs mandatory alcohol counseling. 90 days? He will repeat his behavior. Hope he stays out of my neighborhood.
Good thing he didnt have a "small amount of marijuana". He would get a life sentence.
Accidents do happen day and night , but when u strike someone with vehicle and leave for dead and then try to cover it up, you are just a sub-standard human being. Only in Elk County do these type of light sentences get handed down. Hope karma bus comes around soon for Masson, Schatz, and DA. Hope Natasha is new owner of Quala Die as well.
