Accident on Minard Run Road

Emergency crews were called to an accident near the top of Minard Run Road at about 4:30 this morning.
They set up a helicopter landing zone at the Pennhills Club.
Multiple patients are being taken to the BRMC emergency room.
At least two tow trucks were called to the scene.
We'll have more information as it becomes available.
Names Released Minard Run Road Accident
The names were
released of those involved in the crash early Friday morning on Minard
Run Road in Bradford.
According to Bradford Township Police, 18-year-old
Garrett Hoy of Smethport was driving with three other passengers and
traveling East on Minard Run when Hoy swerved to avoid a deer. Hoy's
Ford Focus crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Plymouth
Neon operated by 19-year-old Ashley Shonts of Cyclone. Emergency
responders extricated Shonts from her vehicle and she was flown to ECMC
in Buffalo for injuries. She is listed in fair condition. 18-year-old
Sarah Hurd of Bradford was a passenger in Shonts's vehicle and was flown
to Hamot Medical Center in Erie after being transported to BRMC. She is
also listed in fair condition. 30-year-old Frank Deblaso of Smethport, a
15-year-old male from Gifford and a 16-year-old from Port Allegany were
all passengers in Hoy's vehicle and taken to BRMC for treatment. Hoy
was eventually flown to Hamot Medical Center after being taken to BRMC.
He is also listed in fair condition.
Both vehicles were total losses and
towed from the scene. The investigation is continuing and charges are
pending against Hoy.
