Turtlepoint Post Office Will Not Close
At an official 'Town Hall' meeting Thursday November 28, 2012, the USPS advised interested Turtlepoint community members that the Turtlepoint Post Office will not be closing.
USPS received pressure from Congress and outraged rural communities regarding the closing of 3,700 rural post office and determined the best solution to the current issue is to keep rural post offices open and reduce the hours of operation based on mail load which is expected to affect the Turtlepoint Post Office sometime after January 2013.

The office will remain and the town will still be "on the map". However, look for "business as usual" to be 2 or 4 hours a day instead of what you are now use to.
