U.S. Representative Glenn Thompson Statement on Veterans Day

U.S. Representative Glenn Thompson Statement on Veterans Day

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-5) issued the following statement today in advance of Veterans Day:

"On November 11th, America honors the generations of men and women who have put the welfare of the nation before their own in protecting our freedoms. On this day, we join in thanking those from Pennsylvania and across the nation who have answered the call to serve, including many who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

"While we continue to thank and remember all of our nation's veterans, we also pay tribute to the current generation of American heroes now serving in harm's way. My wife Penny and I keep our thoughts with all of these brave Americans, along with their families and loved ones, and pray for their safe return.

"The men and woman who’ve served our nation with honor and distinction deserve our support and the best possible care, and it is our duty as Americans to ensure the promises made to these individuals are promises kept. As U.S. Representative for the 5th Congressional District of Pennsylvania, I pledge to work every day to ensure this commitment is fulfilled."
